Mary believes that often people seek counseling for one of two reasons: to get closer to people in their lives or to get farther away. Counseling can help people find their way back to each other and forward to richer relationships. Sometimes we need to leave relationships and sometimes people, places and/or things leave us. Perhaps it is sickness, aging, death, abuse, trauma, relocation, or shifting priorities that creates the loss. Counseling helps grieve the loss and reimagine the future. Mary has over 35 years in the mental health field helping people reach their goals and enrich their lives. She is licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). She holds a Master of Science degree (MSMFT) in Marriage & Family Therapy from Friends University and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Agency & Community Counseling from Xavier University.
